Giorgi Gakharia once again clarified his decision to resign from the post of Prime Minister and stated that he hoped this would help ease the situation in the country.

"I believe that confrontation and rivalry within the country endanger the future of Georgia's democratic & economic development. Therefore, I have announced my resignation in the hope to reduce polarization & deescalate the situation", - wrote Gakharia on Twitter.
