Juveniles convicted in the murder of Giorgi Shakarashvili sentenced to 10 years and 6 months in prison

The juveniles, Z.Kh. and A.K., convicted in the murder of football player Giorgi Shakarashvili were sentenced to 14 years in prison. However, due to juvenile justice code, their sentences were reduced by a quarter meaning that they will spend 10 years to 6 months in prison.

The decision was announced by Mtskheta District Court Judge Bidzina Sturua.

For reference, on March 9, all five adults accused of killing football player Giorgi Shakarashvili: Archil Gagnidze, Nikoloz Revazishvili, Vakhtang Chikovani, Z.Kh. and A.K - were found guilty. The adult convicts were sentenced to 16 years in prison.
