Natali Sabanadze: All of our leaders say they are pro-European, but it's not enough to say it, you have to be it

All of our leaders say they are pro-European, but it's not enough to say it, you have to be it, - stated former Ambassador of Georgia to the European Union Natali Sabanadze in a conversation with the French newspaper Le Monde.

In the same interview, Sabanadze says she has had disagreements with the Georgian government in recent weeks.

It should be noted that Natali Sabanadze later made an explanation on the social network regarding the conversation with Le Monde. As she writes, she talks about the entire political class in the article and over-politicizing her position is inappropriate.

"My intention was to take a personal position, it's inappropriate to over-politicize it. There is a discussion about political leaders in this article, the whole political class, which is pro-European, but is expected to be European in its actions and decisions", - Sabanadze wrote.

For the record, Ambassador of Georgia to the Kingdom of Belgium and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, Natali Sabanadze, resigned as the Head of the Mission of Georgia to the European Union on March 21. She made the announcement about it on the social network.
