Khatuna Samnidze: Both sides will have to agree to a compromise if they put the country's interests first

The mediator will prepare the document as he said, where neither party will get 100% of what it asked for. Both sides will have to agree to a compromise if they put the country's interests first, - Khatuna Samnidze, the leader of the Republican Party, said before meeting with members of the ruling team in the EU office.

According to her, it is vital for the country to reach an agreement between the parties.

"It is very important for all of us who are involved in this process to put the interests of the country first, to remember that without the support of Europe, without the United States directly involved in this process, it will be difficult to talk about security and prosperity in our country. This is a process that is supported and directly involved by the European Union, the United States, so it is very, very vital that we can reach an agreement that would be impossible without the involvement of mediators. The EU and the United States are doing their best to enable us to reach an agreement. I hope we can do that.

When I talk about compromise, of course, it is very difficult to talk about details, we do not know what is on the table. We know in the process of these rounds of negotiations who was going for what, where was the possibility of compromise and where not, and after having heard all this, the mediator will prepare a document as he said, where neither side will get 100% of what it asked for, both sides will have to agree to a compromise if they put the country's interests first", - Samnidze said.
