Georgia reports 777 new cases of coronavirus, 9 deaths

According to stopcov.ge, as part of the intensive testing, 36,578 tests were conducted across the country in the last 24 hours, including 24,438 antigen tests and 12,140 PCR tests.

Testing revealed 777 new cases of the virus in the last 24 hours. The total number of confirmed cases detected since the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic in the country amounts to 287,183.

As of April 8, the daily positive rate is 2.12%, for the last 14 days - 2.09%, and for 7 days - 2.47%. In the last 24 hours, 342 people recovered from the virus, and the total number of recoveries increased to 276,426. 9 new deaths from coronavirus were reported in the last 24 hours. A total of 3,858 people have died from the virus since the pandemic spread.

Out of 777 new cases of infection detected in the country today: 430 cases were reported in Tbilisi, Adjara - 62, Imereti - 50, Kvemo Kartli - 29, Shida Kartli - 29, Guria - 21, Samegrelo - Zemo Svaneti - 91, Kakheti - 32, Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 17, Samtskhe-Javakheti - 6, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti - 10.
