Congressman Gerry Connolly welcomes signing of EU-brokered document by Georgian Dream, encourages National Movement to do the same

US Congressman and President of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly Gerry Connolly responds to the decision of the Georgian Dream to sign the document brokered by Christian Danielsson.

The Congressman welcomed the above step taken by the Georgian Dream.

“The people of Georgia deserve a stable government unified around a commitment to democratic ideals. I am pleased the Georgian Dream party has pledged their efforts to this goal, and encourage the United National Movement to do the same", the Congressman tweeted.

The Georgian Dream signed the document drawn up under the auspices of European Council President Charles Michel, which was submitted by his special envoy Christian Danielsson. The document was signed by the Chairman of the Georgian Dream, Irakli Kobakhidze, and the Speaker of the Parliament, Archil Talakvadze.
