Georgian film and theater actor Kakhi Kavsadze has died at the age of 85. Rustaveli Theater spreads information about it and expresses grief over the death of the actor.

"Rustaveli National Theater expresses its deep grief over the death of the genius Georgian actor Kakhi Kavsadze. We express our condolences to the family of the deceased", - the Rustaveli Theater wrote.

Kakhi Kavsadze tested positive for COVID-19 on November 28, 2020. He was treated for acute respiratory distress at the first university clinic.

Kakhi Kavsadze was born on June 5, 1935. He graduated from the acting faculty of the Shota Rustaveli Theater Institute in 1959 and became an actor at the Rustaveli Academic Theater. He made his film debut in the 50's. Kavsadze is the People's Artist of Georgia (1981), laureate of the Dushanbe Union Film Festival Award (1989).
