Mamuka Mdinaradze: The payment of bail by the European Union does not mean the recognition of Melia as a political prisoner

Melia found himself in a ridiculous and bad situation when he agreed to be, in fact, Mikheil Saakashvili's personal prisoner and followed his will, - Mamuka Mdinaradze, chairman of the Georgian Dream faction, said.

According to him, Melia is now trying to get rid of the wrong positions he expressed earlier and changed his mind many times.

"Probably, everyone remembers well how he was boasting he would not pay the bail. He changed this position many times. If he once again changes his mind and agrees to bail, it will be very good. He has found himself in a ridiculous and bad situation when he agreed to be, in fact, Mikheil Saakashvili's personal prisoner and followed his will”, said Mdinaradze.

According to him, the special operation of releasing Melia is ending successfully, with the involvement of partners.

“That's good, because this was the subject of the agreement. I do not see a problem with that, but his leader Saakashvili and his party members put the man himself in a very bad situation," Mdinaradze said.

At the same time, Mdinaradze noted that the payment of bail by the European Union does not mean the recognition of Melia as a political prisoner.

He also added that the National Movement would sign the document and enter the Parliament.
