The fire on Eristavi Street in Tbilisi has been extinguished, - the Emergency Management Service reports.
According to the agency, firefighters evacuated about 150 people from the nearby area for safety reasons.
"According to the information received by the Public Security Management Center "112" of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, strong smoke and open fire were observed on Tornike Eristavi Street in Tbilisi.
Employees of the Fire and Rescue Department arrived at the spot as soon as possible. According to the first responding groups, the fire was spread in the warehouse area.
Firefighters evacuated about 150 people from the surrounding area for safety reasons and began active firefighting operations. There was a danger of the fire spreading over a large area, however, as a result of the timely response, the fire was localized and subsequently completely extinguished.
No one was injured in the accident.
