Temur Gogokhia, Levan Mikaberidze, Badri Shonia and Gocha Abuseridze were elected as four members of the High Council of Justice. Their candidacy was supported by the majority of the judges at the XXIX Extraordinary Conference of Judges.
The number of votes was distributed as follows: Abuseridze Gocha - 274 votes, Levan Mikaberidze - 283 votes, Badri Shonia - 281 votes, Temur Gogokhia - 278 votes.
All four were elected judges of the High Council of Justice for a four-year term.
The corps of judges consists of 326 judges, of which 284 judges were registered at today's conference.
It should be noted that the extraordinary conference of judges took place against the background of a protest rally.
The need to elect four new judges to the High Council of Justice has been on the agenda since the expiration of the term of office of judges Irakli Shengelia, Irakli Bondarenko, Vasil Mshvenieradze and Dimitri Gvritishvili.
