A confrontation took place between the locals of the village of Bobokvati and the law enforcers. Protesters blocked the Batumi-Tbilisi railway section in protest, after which police removed several of the demonstrators from the protest area.

At this moment, the train traffic has been restored on the above-mentioned railway section.

"We were abused by the Kobuleti police, we justly demand our land. We call on everyone to free our land", - said one of the protesters.

For reference, the locals of the village of Bobokvati say that they are demanding the return of the lands in the coastal zone. Protesters say the lands were left to them by their ancestors, however, it was confiscated by the state in 2004. According to them, land plots of up to 150 owners were put up for auction by the government.
