We welcome the important role of Georgia and the Prime Minister personally, which made possible the release of persons detained by Azerbaijan and the transfer of maps of the territories mined by Armenia. I think this tripartite cooperation is beneficial for all partners, - Austrian Foreign Minister Alexander Schalenberg told a news conference in Tbilisi, where he summed up his visit to the South Caucasus.
"Trust is the resource that the region needs the most. Our goal was to sow the seeds of trust. We know that the wounds of the Nagorno-Karabakh war are still open and the healing process is needed and the EU is ready to do everything possible for that. Let me state in this context that we welcome the important role played by Georgia and the Prime Minister personally in facilitating the release of those detained by Azerbaijan and the transfer of maps of territories mined by Armenia. I think that this tripartite cooperation is beneficial for all partners, and this is what we, the European Union, will strongly support in the future," said the Austrian Foreign Minister.
