If the candidates for the Supreme Council had not been presented to the parliament by the High Council of Justice, it would have been a gross violation of the law, - Irakli Shengelia, a judge at the Tbilisi Court of Appeals, told reporters.
According to him, the purpose of the meeting of judges at the High School of Justice is the fact that the judiciary is being put under pressure from all sides.
"There is a lot of pressure on the judiciary from all sides, in all directions. Because of these problems, the entire judiciary and the system have decided to convene today to discuss these issues. If the Supreme Council of Justice had not nominated candidates to the Georgian parliament, it would have been a gross violation of the law", - Shengelia said.
