Giorgi Kandelaki: Georgia needs to act only at the level of the highest executive branch, which means arriving in Kiev

Georgia needs to act only at the level of the highest executive branch, which means arriving in Kiev - everything else, including the resolution, is inadequate, - European Georgia member Giorgi Kandelaki said when commenting on the Georgian Dream resolution in support of Ukraine, as well as petition signed by part of the opposition.

According to him, it is necessary to take joint action in the international arena, so that the free world considers the issue of protection of Ukraine and Georgia as a single package.

"Given the current situation, when the issue of Ukraine is the main issue in the world, Georgia needs to act only at the level of the highest executive power, the Prime Minister. This means arriving in Kiev and acting together with Ukraine in the international arena, so that the international community and the free world can consider the protection of Ukraine and Georgia, our de-occupation in the future, the return of refugees and the restoration of their property as a single package. Only this can be considered an adequate step, everything else, including the resolution, is inadequate," - said Giorgi Kandelaki.

As for the criticism of the opposition that the resolution drafted by the Georgian Dream does not mention the Russian Federation, Kandelaki said that even if the Russian Federation was mentioned by the Georgian Dream, it would be “imitation of work and nothing would change, because we do not need it.”
