Embassy of Georgia addresses the Georgian citizens in Ukraine

The Embassy of Georgia in Ukraine appeals to the citizens of Georgia to obey the recommendations of the Ukrainian authorities as much as possible.

A statement from the Embassy said border checkpoints were extremely overcrowded and it might take citizens tens of hours to cross the border.

"For the attention of Georgian citizens in Ukraine! Once again, we appeal to you to obey the recommendations of the Ukrainian authorities as much as possible, including staying at home, refraining from moving on the streets as much as possible, and in case of an alert, rush to the nearest shelter, follow all safety rules as much as possible.

Observe the curfew regulations in accordance with the rules established by the administration of your city / district and always have your identity documents with you.

When moving between cities, please be extremely careful and take into account that you may have to use detours, as well as keep in mind that traffic is congested on the roads, which significantly increases the estimated travel time.

Also, keep in mind that border checkpoints are extremely overcrowded and you may need tens of hours to cross the border.
