This decision is absolutely unacceptable and unjustified, including in view of everything that Georgia has done in recent days, Irakli Kobakhidze, Chairman of the Georgian Dream, responded to the recall of the Ambassador of Ukraine from Georgia.

According to Kobakhidze, they want to involve Georgia in the military conflict, which the government will not allow.

"This very unfortunate decision of the Ukrainian authorities, to put it softly, is a manifestation of this coordinated action. I will not say anything more here. There is an attempt to involve Georgia in the military conflict, of course, we can not and will not allow it in the interests of the people. As for Georgia, I say as much as the country needs. As for the coordination in Georgia, I do not want anyone to misinterpret that there is a coordination between the "Nationals" and Zelensky. This is not the case, but the part of this coordination in Georgia is the political force that has always been noticed in the betrayal, it is, of course, the National Movement. You see, the sanctions were named as the main reason for the recall of the Ambassador. Sanctions on Ukraine have not been imposed by Moldova, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Israel - I can continue the list of these countries, no such decision has been made in any of them. There is only one reason, there is no interest that Turkey, Moldova, Azerbaijan or Israel and so on gets involved in a military conflict. Sanctions were not imposed there either, but no one has recalled the Ambassador from there, we could not get involved in the military conflict, there was a direct attempt to organize the sending of volunteers so that we would be involved in the military conflict, it was not achieved and this was followed by this very unfortunate step.

In this situation, when Ukraine is in a very difficult situation, when our friendly people are in the worst situation, we respect everything and naturally, it is wrong to criticize the Ukrainian authorities at such a time, but of course, we must prove that this decision is absolutely unacceptable and unjustified, including in view of everything that Georgia has done in recent days. In every platform and forum, the Council of Europe, the OSCE, the UN, where the issue of Ukraine in principle was raised, including sovereignty and territorial integrity, Georgia took effective steps to express its position everywhere. When such a step is taken at such a time, it is only the manifestation of the fact that they want to involve Georgia in the war.

Society should know one thing, there is an attempt by one side to involve Georgia in the military conflict and the Georgian government is against this view, we should protect the people and not get involved in the military conflict. We can ask a question, hold a small referendum and call on the people to come out, gather in front of the parliament - who would be in favor to get involved in the military conflict. If anyone is in favor of the government involving Georgia in the military conflict today, we can ask this question, but we think that Georgia should not be involved in the military conflict in the interests of the people," Kobakhidze said, adding that the "National Movement" wants it.

He has repeatedly clarified that when speaking of coordination, he didn't mean the union of Zelensky and the National Movement.

"We are not fools to say such nonsense. I made it clear that we are not talking about these two sides and I also told you that I will not say anything more than that," Kobakhidze said.
