Nika Melia: I appeal to Europe, even though we do not have a decent government, we are a big and dignified nation, so accept this application obtained as a result of the struggle of the Georgian nation

I appeal to Europe, even though we do not have a decent government, we are a big and dignified nation, so accept this application obtained as a result of the struggle of the Georgian nation, - the chairman of the United National Movement, Nika Melia said at the briefing.

According to Melia, Georgia's place is in Europe, but the Georgian Dream's place is not in power.

"I congratulate the Georgian people - their struggle and thirst for freedom have yielded results. The Georgian government was forced to apply for EU membership in an expedited manner.

I want to address the Western world, President Zelensky - we may not have a decent government, but we are a decent, fighting nation. Our government does not deserve your loyal attitude, but we, the Georgian people, deserve it. Therefore, we ask the whole of Europe to accept this statement. Georgia's place is in Europe, but the Georgian Dream's place is not in power," Nika Melia said.

Melia also responded to the briefing held by Irakli Kobakhidze, chairman of the Georgian Dream, according to which, the "National Movement has many representatives in Ukraine, including Davit Arakhamia, Zurab Adeishvili and other Georgian criminals". Melia called the statement a direct attack on Ukraine in the interests of Russia.

“This is a direct attack on Ukraine in favor of Russia's interests. Such rhetoric is anti-European”, said Melia.
