According to SSG, in the last few days, the public is being intimidated that there are so-called saboteurs, terrorism-related groups, etc., among those entering. At the same time, they note that no tendency has been observed that would suggest that citizens of Russia, Belarus or other foreign countries who have entered Georgia carry out activities that pose a risk to state security.

According to the agency, the security environment in the country is under full control.

"We would like to respond to the deliberate misinformation spread in recent days about massive and uncontrolled inflows of citizens of the Russian Federation and Belarus. The public is being intimidated that there are so-called saboteurs, terrorism-related groups, etc., among those entering.

We declare with full responsibility that the security environment in the country is under full control. The State Security Service, together with other relevant agencies, is actively taking all necessary measures to minimize possible risks and challenges, as well as to fully control all persons who pose a potential risk in the country.

As a result of the measures taken, a calm and safe environment has been maintained throughout the country. No tendency has been observed that would suggest that citizens of Russia, Belarus or other foreign countries who have entered Georgia carry out activities that pose a risk to state security.

It should also be noted that the number of people entering the country in the recent period does not exceed the statistics of the same period of previous years. The state of Georgia exercises the sovereign right of admitting a foreign citizen to the territory of the country in full compliance with the law, in line with the existing risks and challenges," reads the statement.
