Minister of Agriculture: There is no reason the supply of sugar to be delayed in the country, as neither Russia nor Ukraine is our main supplier

According to the Minister of Environment and Agriculture, Otar Shamugia, there is no reason the supply of sugar to be delayed in the country, as neither Russia nor Ukraine is our main supplier, and this product comes from Brazil, Poland and Turkey.

As Shamugia said, there is no reason to panic.

As the Minister noted, importers and businesses are ready to change the supply of products, which may have some delays due to the current events in Ukraine.

"We will do our best to support our businesses, importers, to give them access to the relevant markets. We will render maximum support through our embassies, our partner ministries in establishing contacts and finding relevant markets. At this stage, there is no need to change the importing countries," said Otar Shamugia, whose comment was released by the Ministry of Environment and Agriculture.
