Amiran Gamkrelidze: Citizens can donate blood for Ukrainians after 14 days from the day of their recovery from the virus

According to Amiran Gamkrelidze, Head of the National Center for Disease Control, citizens can donate blood to help Ukrainians after 14 days from the day of their recovery from the virus.

"Citizens can donate blood after 14 days from the day of their recovery from the virus. It is not a problem. At the same time, if Covid is mild and there are no symptoms for 3-4 days, the donation can be made 14-20 days after the confirmation of the virus,” Gamkrelidze told InterPressNews.

The Ministry of Health of Georgia is registering those wishing to donate blood to help the population of Ukraine. Citizens can call the hotline - 15 05 or register through the website donor.moh.gov.ge. According to the agency, the blood products will be sent to Ukraine in the form of humanitarian aid.
