Georgia reports 1,716 new cases of coronavirus, 16 deaths

According to stopcov.ge, as part of the intensive testing, 19,857 tests were conducted across the country in the last 24 hours, including 17,226 antigen tests and 2,631 PCR tests.

As a result of the testing, 1,716 new cases of the virus were detected in the last 24 hours. The total number of confirmed cases since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic in the country amounts to 1,637,691.

As of March 14, the daily positive rate is 8.64%, for the last 14 days - 13.98% and for 7 days - 10.7%.

In the last 24 hours, 1,551 people recovered from the virus, bringing the total to 1,590,380. 16 deaths from coronavirus were reported in the last 24 hours. A total of 16,585 people have died from the virus since the pandemic spread.

Out of 1,716 new cases of infection detected in the country today: 672 cases were reported in Tbilisi, Adjara - 61, Imereti - 253, Kvemo Kartli - 56, Shida Kartli - 132, Guria - 110, Samegrelo - Zemo Svaneti - 150, Kakheti - 156, Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 37, Samtskhe-Javakheti - 43, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti - 46.

The number of active cases amounts to is 30,700.
