Vladimir Zhirinovsky dies

Vladimir Zhirinovsky, the leader of Russia's Liberal Democratic Party, died after a long-term illness. The information is spread by the Russian media based on the statement of the Speaker of the State Duma, Vyacheslav Volodin.

"Vladimir Volfovich Zhirinovsky died after a serious and long-term illness," Volodin said at a plenary session.

Deputies observed a minute of silence in memory of Zhirinovsky and announced a break at the sitting.
