The issue of fourth dose of the coronavirus vaccine will be discussed at the Immunization Council, Amiran Gamkrelidze, the head of the National Center for Disease Control, told InterPressNews.

As he points out, the National Center for Disease Control has its recommendations regarding the fourth dose against coronavirus, which will be voiced at the Immunization Council. Amiran Gamkrelidze hopes that the meeting of the Immunization Council will be held soon, where it will be determined who should get the fourth dose of the vaccine and at what point.

"The National Center for Disease Control has made a serious analysis regarding the fourth dose. I hope the meeting of the Immunization Council will be held soon. It is up to the Immunization Council to decide who, how, and at what point could get the fourth dose, i.e. second booster. The Immunization Council will discuss this and make a decision. The National Center for Disease Control has its recommendations, which we will voice at the Immunization Council," said Gamkrelidze.
