Increase in infected patients observed in Covid clinics

The beds intended for patients infected with the coronavirus in the Covid reception clinics are loaded.

The reason for this is the increase in the number of infected people in the last 1 week.

InterPressNews contacted several Covid clinics operating in Tbilisi. First University Clinic of Tbilisi State Medical University told IPN that the beds intended for covid-patients in the clinics are overloaded. More covid-patients are placed in the clinic than was provided by the bed fund.

"Most of the patients are of average severity, although we have severe patients as well," says Lali Turdzeladze, Clinical Director of the First University Hospital of Tbilisi State Medical University.

The Center for Infectious Pathology and AIDS also points out the increase in the number of covid patients. As the representative of the hospital told IPN, the number of covid patients has increased, although the number of beds in the medical facility is sufficient and will not become a problem.

In addition, the Central University Clinic, which is currently in hybrid mode, notes that the number of patients infected with the coronavirus has "slightly increased".
