In the last 6 months, the most foreign tourists visited Tbilisi, Batumi, Gudauri, Mtskheta, Kazbegi and Kutaisi.

In 6 months of the current year, 57.9% of international visits were made in Tbilisi, followed by Batumi with 38.4%.

Medea Janiashvili, acting head of the National Tourism Administration, told IPN that during the same period, after Tbilisi and Batumi, foreign tourists visited Gudauri, Mtskheta, Kazbegi, Kutaisi, Marneuli, Borjomi, Sighnaghi and Gori the most.

According to statistics, in the period of January-June 2022, Tbilisi (23.6%) is leading among the most popular cities among domestic visitors too. The capital is followed by Imereti region (17%) and Adjara (9.5%).
