Gigi Ugulava expelled from court during Nika Gvaramia’s trial

Opposition politician Gigi Ugulava was expelled from the trial of Nika Gvaramia, the founder of Main Channel. Merab Zorbenadze, chairman of the board of judges of the Tbilisi Court of Appeal, made the above decision.

The reason for the decision was Ugulava's reply to the prosecutor.

The judge urged him to maintain order and warned him that otherwise he would be expelled. After this, the session continued, however, later the judge asked Ugulava to leave the session hall again.

"I expressed my opinion. I will leave the hall, it's just dirty gossiping," Ugulava said.
