Giorgi Vashadze: The mass entry of Russians is similar to the annexation of Georgia without tanks

The mass entry of Russians is similar to the annexation of Georgia without tanks, Giorgi Vashadze, the leader of Strategy Builder, said on PalitraNews.

According to Vashadze, Georgia should close the border with Russia and only Georgian citizens or Georgians who are citizens of Russia should have the right to return to their homeland.

"Today we officially made a request to immediately ban Russian citizens from entering Georgia. Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Poland, Finland did so. As of today, there are approximately 200,000 Russian citizens in Georgia. The number of Russian citizens will reach 10% of our population, which means that they will have a great influence in Georgia.

On September 6, the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, published a new doctrine, which talks about protecting Russian citizens for humanitarian purposes. The document emphasizes Lithuania, Latvia, Moldova, Estonia and Georgia, where the citizens of Russia will have full support from Russia, therefore, the mass influx of Russians is like the annexation of Georgia without tanks," said Vashadze.

When asked why the Government does not close the border for Russian citizens, Vashadze noted that "pro-Europeans should take Georgia to Europe, while the Georgian Dream may go to Russia."
