Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia summons Ambassador of Belarus to Georgia due to Alexander Lukashenko’s arrival in occupied Abkhazia

Due to the arrival of the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko in occupied Abkhazia, the Ambassador of Belarus to Georgia was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia.

According to the Foreign Ministry, at the meeting, the Georgian side expressed extreme concern over the above and demanded additional explanations from the Belarusian side.

"Ambassador of Belarus to Georgia was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia as a sign of protest. The meeting with the Ambassador was related to the visit of the President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko to occupied Abkhazia and his meeting with representatives of the occupation regime. The Georgian side expressed extreme concern over the above and demanded additional explanations from the Belarusian side," the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
