Human Rights Committee to resume hearing of candidates nominated for Public Defender’s position next week

From the next week, the Human Rights Committee of the Parliament will resume the hearing of the candidates nominated for the position of the Public Defender.

At the October 31 session, MPs will listen to Aleksandre Kobaidze, Levan Kokorashvili, Nugzar Kokhreidze, Giorgi Mariamidze and Sergo Makharadze.

The Committee has already listened to Ana Abashidze, Marika Arevadze, Giorgi Burjanadze, Lela Gaprindashvili, Sofia Demetrashvili, Tinatin Erkvania and Evgenia Tavadze. The committee hearing of ombudsman candidates started on October 25.

19 candidates have proposed their candidacies to the Parliament for the post of the Public Defender.
