Back in 2005, the Parliament of Georgia recognized Holodomor as a genocide against Ukrainian people. The Embassy of Georgia in Ukraine expresses its condolences to the Ukrainian people on the day of remembrance of the victims of Holodomor, the Embassy of Georgia in Ukraine says in a statement.

According to them, the Soviet regime deliberately killed millions of Ukrainians by artificially causing hunger.

"This was genocide - one of the heaviest crimes committed against humanity.
