Alilo procession starts in Republic Square

In connection with the Christmas holiday, the Alilo procession is taking place in Tbilisi. The procession started from Republic Square.

The deputy mayor of Tbilisi, Andria Basilaia, gave sweets to the children participating in the Alilo procession on Republic Square.

At the same time, the Alilo participants will finish the solemn procession at the Holy Trinity Cathedral through Rustaveli Avenue and Baratashvili Ascent. At 16:00, the Christmas service will be held at the Trinity Cathedral.

The tradition of the Alilo procession was revived in 2000 with the blessing of the Patriarch.
