The National Movement faction is switching to a political boycott regime, which is manifested in the fact that it will not participate in parliamentary activities, although it retains its mandates at this stage.

Chairman of the political council of the party Levan Bezhashvili made a statement on behalf of the National ­Movement faction in the Parliament about the relevant decision.

"The United Natio­nal Movement faction has made a decision and will no longer participate in parliamentary activities, which means that we will no longer participate in plenary sessions, committee hearings and other parliamentary formats.

The party and faction will continue to consult on more severe forms of protest. It is about quitting mandates. We will consult with our European partners. With the representatives of the parliamentary and external opposition parties and naturally, following the development of the political situation, we have decided to use even more severe forms of protest," said Levan Bezhashvili.
