Mikheil Sarjveladze: The opposition has a predetermined cliché to call the most European decision of the Government pro-Russian

The opposition has a predetermined cliché to call the most European decision of the Government pro-Russian, Mikheil Sarjveladze, Chairman of the Human Rights Committee of the Parliament, told journalists, evaluating the statements made by the opposition regarding the draft law submitted by People's Power.

As he noted, the opposition is trying to "accuse the Government of Russian orientation".

"This confirms the attitude of our opposition. Regardless of the reality, regardless of the content, they have predetermined clichés that the most European decision of the Government should be called pro-Russian. Their attempt is to accuse the Government of Russian orientation", Sarjveladze noted.

For information, according to the draft law submitted to the Parliament by People's Power MPs, "in order to ensure the transparency of foreign influence", a register of agents of foreign influence will be created, where all non-commercial legal entities and media outlets will be registered, who receive more than 20% of their income from foreign forces. At the same time, People’s Power offers the Parliament an alternative option - copying the American law.
