Georgia has had enough of promises from the West and wants to return to the markets of post-Soviet countries. According to the Russian media, the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko made the relevant statement today at the meeting with the foreign ministers of the member countries of the Collective Security Treaty Organization.
"The example of Georgia. You see a certain change in their policy: they are tired of Western and other promises and want to return to our market again, because no one will let you into their markets with milk, meat, wine. Markets have long been shared and there is a fierce fight for them. This is the second reason why we should stay together. This is the market we use," Lukashenko said.
The leader of Belarus noted that if anything is offered from the West, it will be only in exchange for resources or for pursuing a political course beneficial to the West.
"We must be together, especially in these difficult times," added Lukashenko.
