German Ambassador: Georgia can count on NATO to move forward in the process that will lead Georgia to become a member of the Alliance

Georgia can count on NATO to move forward in the process that will lead Georgia to NATO membership at a certain point, German Ambassador to Georgia Peter Fischer said.

According to him, strong statements in support of Georgia were also made at the Vilnius summit.

"A very strong statement supporting Georgia was made at the Vilnius summit. Georgia can count on NATO to move forward in the process that will lead Georgia to NATO membership at a certain point," the Ambassador said.

As for the implementation of the 12 priorities of the European Union, according to Peter Fischer, some of them have already been implemented, but others need more progress.

"Some priorities have been fulfilled, some are on the way to fulfillment, others need more progress. We support Georgia's ambition, which is related to joining the European Union, and together with Georgia we will move forward on this path," the Ambassador said.
