Pro-Putin and pro-war artists will arrive in Batumi by cruise liner from Sochi, Radio Liberty project Ekho Kavkaza reports.
In particular, as the media writes, among the passengers of the Astoria Grande, which will arrive in Batumi on July 31, will be a participant of the Zа Россию marathon, a supporter of Russia's large-scale invasion of Ukraine, a supporter of Russia's annexation of Crimea, a supporter of Putin in the 2018 elections, and a former soloist of the band Hi-Fi , Mitya Fomin, against whom Ukraine has introduced sanctions.
"Fomin played an important role in Russian propaganda and supported the Russian policy of undermining the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine, the annexation of Crimea", reads the information posted on the website of the project "War and Sanctions" of the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption of Ukraine.
The liner is also expected to feature the Russian musical group Testosterone, which performed for Russian army personnel at the Military Hospital of the Russian Ministry of Defense in Nizhny Novgorod. Another artist at Astoria Grande will be Dmitry Koldun from Belarus, who supports Russia's aggressive actions.
According to the schedule, the cruise liner will leave Sochi on July 29 and arrive in Batumi on July 31. Its passengers cannot cross the border of Georgia and must stay on the ship until leaving Batumi port.
