According to Kristine Kobakhidze, the first deputy of the state representative in Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti region, there are about 40 people staying in the Sunset Shovi Hotel in Racha, in the landslide zone.

As she told IPN, the helicopter will be involved in the rescue operation shortly.

"The helicopter will land in Shovi soon, then the rescue operation will start, we have no other information. Several citizens [in the landslide zone] contacted me and I sent them the locations for the helicopter. There are about 40 people who are vacationing at Sunset Shovi and working in the hotel, and I cannot tell you how many more people there are. These people are alive and well. I can't tell you anything in detail," said Kristine Kobakhidze.
