Georgia's allies, NATO partners, were very clear in their messages supporting Georgia. The alliance remains faithful to the decision of the 2008 Bucharest summit, NATO and its allies will continue to support Georgia, - the Chairman of the Defense and Security Committee of the Georgian Parliament, Irakli Beraia, said during his visit to Brussels.
According to Irakli Beraia, during the meeting there was a sincere and important conversation about all the challenges that exist in the region from the point of view of security.
According to him, Georgia has repeatedly confirmed by its actions that it is ready to join the alliance.
"NATO partners emphasized Georgia's impressive progress in terms of reforms and once again referred to Georgia as a champion in terms of reform implementation. We were very direct, principled and demanding, and we said that Georgia's NATO integration is necessary and that the decision cannot be delayed. This is necessary. Georgia has repeatedly confirmed that we are ready for membership, and even before membership we make an invaluable contribution to the security of the Euro-Atlantic space, which was emphasized by NATO partners. Of course, taking into account the current geopolitical situation, it is necessary to quickly implement this decision", said Irakli Beraia.
