Vyacheslav Volodin: Any country, if it wants to become a sovereign state, is obliged to adopt a law on foreign agents - those who are against the law are acting in the interests of another state

The Chairman of the State Council of Russia, Vyacheslav Volodin, responds to the ongoing protests in Georgia regarding the draft law on "transparency of foreign influence" and states that the opponents of this law are "acting in the interests of other states".

"Any country, if it wants to become a sovereign state where people have the right to independently determine their future, is obliged to adopt a law on foreign agents, the essence of which is to prohibit external interference in internal affairs. Those who are against the adoption of the law are clearly acting in the interests of another state and not in the interests of their own country," Volodin wrote on the Telegram channel.
