Davit Katsarava recalls details of his beating by riot police

Davit Katsarava, a member of the Anti-Occupation Movement, recalls the details of his beating by the riot police after his arrest at the protest against the "Transparency of Foreign Influence" bill.

He posted a statement on the social network and described the actions taken by the law enforcement officers against him.

"The executioners dressed in black special uniforms attacked me.

They liked my military bag and took it right away.

They opened the wallet taken out of the pocket, saw the money, and immediately one of them put it in his pocket.

The phone was in someone else's pocket within seconds.

The main action started after the second, big beating, when I had already been beaten by 10-12 special executioners and put in a van.

For half an hour, with my hands tied behind my back, 3-4 executioners were beating me mercilessly. Cruelly, on purpose. Aiming at the head, face.

The third beating in the car, the fifth in total, turned out to be the worst.

I had the feeling that it lasted endlessly.

Finally, I heard one of the executioners shouting - kill him....! That's when I felt the power of the necklace around my neck - they were choking me.

I don't know how long it lasted. I already thought that they would kill me by beating.

The fifth beating ended when my bloodied and mutilated face was sent to his patrons.

Executioners and those who ordered this execution!

Thank you, you know for what?

You convinced me once again that this country is ruled by the Russians today and we, the free children of this country, have no way to retreat, the roads are blocked and we can only be saved by victory over the Russian regime!

We cannot be intimidated by this terror, we are descendants of Gorgasali, Agmashenebeli, 300 Aragveli, heroes of Abkhazia, the blood of Anktsuhelidze and Tatunashvili is flowing among us, our living heroes are defeating Russia in Ukraine today!

We have this blood, and you have the blood of Ilia's killer flowing in your veins!

We will fight to the end, and you executioners, for whom honor is associated with ATMs, will definitely be defeated and will be on the dustbin of history!” said Katsarava, who left the clinic yesterday.

For information, the special investigative service started an investigation into the abuse of power by the police against Davit Katsarava.
