Independence Day events to be held in 18 cities of Georgia tomorrow

On May 26, the Independence Day of Georgia will be celebrated with solemn events.

According to the government administration, the events dedicated to the Independence Day will start at 10:00 a.m. from the Freedom Square, where, traditionally, new recruits will be sworn in. The swearing-in ceremony will be held in different parts of Georgia.

"A wine space will be organized on Rustaveli Avenue in Tbilisi, where the winemakers' products will be exhibited and sold. Guests will also find sports, culinary and children's corners.

At 5:10 p.m., the historic moment of the declaration of Georgia's independence will be solemnly celebrated. The national anthem of Georgia will be performed by 300 children, among whom will be pupils of Georgian community schools operating abroad.

The gala concert dedicated to the Independence Day will be the final event of the May 26 celebrations, the main theme of which will be the story of Georgia. This year's program of the gala concert is fully devoted to folklore and about 1000 representatives of folk ensembles from all parts of Georgia participate in it.
