The United States of America condemns and will not recognize the sham "parliamentary elections" in Russia-occupied South Ossetia being conducted without Georgia's consent, - the US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs, Jim O'Brien, said.

"The United States condemns and will not recognize sham parliamentary elections in Russia-occupied South Ossetia being conducted without Georgia's consent. We fully support Georgia's territorial integrity and sovereignty within its internationally recognized borders," Jim O'Brien wrote on X.

The so-called elections were held in occupied Tskhinvali yesterday. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia condemned the so-called elections, which grossly violate the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia within its internationally recognized borders.
