The CEC urges voters to check the data in the unified list of voters to find out where they voted

The Central Election Commission urges voters to check the data in the unified list of voters to find out where they voted.

This was announced by the press-speaker of the Central Election Commission, Natia Ioseliani.

According to her, it is possible to request changes in the list of voters until October 8.

In addition, according to Ioseliani, the election administration offers voters to verify their data through the CEC's new mobile application.

"On October 26, mid-term elections of the Parliament and Sakrebulo of Georgia will be held. Almost 90% of voters will vote using electronic technologies. As part of the electoral reform, due to the increase in the upper limit of the number of voters at the polling station, some polling stations were enlarged. Therefore, some of the voters will have to vote in a different location than in the last election. Therefore, it is important for voters to check their data in time and know in advance where their polling station is. The request for changes in the list of voters is possible until October 8.

The election administration offers voters a number of services to verify data in the unified list. Among them, the data can be verified using a computer, tablet, mobile phone and quick payment device.

For the first time this year, the election administration offers voters to verify their data through the CEC's new mobile application. To use this service, you need to download the Voters Georgia – Cesko application, enter your personal number and last name in the corresponding field and get acquainted with the data of you and your family members, as well as see the address of the polling station through the map and find out where to vote on October 26.

It is important that on the voters.cec.gov.ge website, voters living in regions densely populated by ethnic minorities can verify their data in the unified list of voters on the CEC website in Azerbaijani and Armenian languages.

A person forcibly displaced from the occupied territory of Georgia, if his registration address, according to the identity card of a citizen of Georgia or the database of the agency, is in the occupied territory of Georgia, is included in the unified list of voters according to his actual place of residence.

A citizen of Georgia, who was removed from the registration based on the place of residence or whose registration was declared invalid by the decision of the agency, will be included in the unified list of voters according to the place of last registration (address) or actual (temporary) place of residence (address).

And those citizens of Georgia who, according to the database of the Agency, are fixed without indicating the address, are included in the single list of voters according to the actual (temporary) place of residence (address) in the electronic database of the Agency.

Persons with registration without legal address and address must apply to the House of Justice (State Services Development Agency) in order to make a change. And the internally displaced person for the purpose of changing the actual residential address - to the Ministry of IDPs, Labor, Health and Social Protection from the occupied territories of Georgia.

We would like to appeal to voters who have been removed from registration, whose registration has become invalid, and who have registered without specifying their address, to apply to the agency in time, including October 5 of the current year, to verify their data and, if necessary, to go through the relevant procedures in order to participate in the elections. In other cases, the voter will be included in the single list of voters according to the address of the last registration place or actual (temporary) place of residence in the electronic database of the Agency.

The election administration urges you to be active and check the data in the unified lists of voters. If you find inaccuracies in your data or those of your family members, contact us at the contact hub number of the CEC - 2 51 00 51", said Ioseliani.
