The President of Georgia attended the civil funeral of Kesaria Abramidze, a 37-year-old transgender woman.

Today, Kesaria Abramidze will be buried at the Vake cemetery.

For information, in Tbilisi, a transgender woman, model Kesaria Abramidze was killed a few days ago in a house located on Avtandili Street in Didi Digomi. Law enforcement officers arrested 26-year-old Beka Jaiani for the murder. The court sentenced Beka Jaiani to prison as a preventive measure. The charge was filed under subsections "h" and "m" of Article 109 of the Criminal Law Code of Georgia, which means intentional murder with special cruelty on the basis of gender, and the punishment is 16 to 20 years or life imprisonment.
