Dimitri Chikovani, the Public Relations Secretary of the "Unity - National Movement," has accused the company "Alma Plus" of refusing to place their election banners, labeling the decision as discriminatory. According to Chikovani, the company, with which his party has an ongoing contract, declined to display their visuals, a move that he says restricts freedom of expression.
"I received a response from 'Alma Plus,' stating that they will not place our banners with the provided visuals, despite our ongoing contract. This is discrimination, particularly when 'Georgian Dream' is using visuals of destroyed Mariupol and bombed churches in Ukraine for their advertisements," Chikovani stated.
He emphasized that this action limits the party’s ability to campaign freely and assured that they are taking all necessary legal measures to address the issue.
"In a situation where 'Georgian Dream' can post advertisements in the city using images of devastation in Mariupol, we are denied the right to run a campaign calling on people to vote for 'Unity - National Movement' and remove 'Georgian Dream' from power," Chikovani said.
