The process of resettlement of displaced persons has taken an abnormal pace. The number of satisfied displaced families exceeded 35,000. Current projects are worth mentioning - we are talking about 6,000 apartments, which includes ongoing constructions, - the Minister of IDPs, Labor, Health and Social Protection from the Occupied Territories, Mikheil Sarjveladze, said about this.
As the minister noted, constructions are underway in 5 cities of Georgia."Large-scale construction is underway in Tbilisi, we are in the final stage in Kutaisi, and in the very near future, apartments will be distributed to families, that is Borjomi, Rustavi, construction will start soon in Zugdidi.
Resettlement of displaced persons is carried out on the basis of clear regulations and individual assessment of displaced families. The main determinant is the need that may be faced by the family, accordingly a decision is made. However, this is preceded by a rather time-consuming evaluation process. "Even now, such a process is ongoing in Kutaisi, where we evaluate the questionnaire data and, in particular, visits are made to families," said Mikheil Sarjveladze.
The minister noted that the resettlement process of IDPs is actively underway and the state will fully fulfill its obligations.
