CEC Chairman Giorgi Kalandarishvili confirms that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has applied to the election administration regarding the closure of the polling station in Israel.
According to Kalandarishvili, the agency sent a statement about this to the CEC on October 8, where it talks about the risks associated with the election precinct created in the city of Ramat Gan in Israel.
According to him, the CEC will discuss the issue and make a decision after that.
"On October 8, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs addressed us in writing, where there is information about the circumstances and risks related to the issues related to the election precinct created in the city of Ramat Gan in Tel Aviv, Israel. All the circumstances that may be of concern to the commission regarding the preservation of the polling station are described. We will have a proper discussion about this at the next meeting and the commission will make a corresponding decision", said Giorgi Kalandarishvili.
When asked whether Israel has also addressed the CEC regarding the mentioned issue, Kalandarishvili says that "the Ministry of Foreign Affairs receives such notifications".
"We are guided by the information provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. We do not know how much information was provided to them", Kalandarishvili said.
