Tbilisi Mayor and General Secretary of "Georgian Dream," Kakha Kaladze, responded to the statement made by Anna Lührmann, Germany's Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for European and Climate Affairs. Kaladze dismissed Lührmann's criticism of Georgia's government, stating, "I don't know who this lady is. She is an ordinary Kubilius in a dress."
Kaladze was referring to Andrius Kubilius, a Lithuanian politician and critic of the Georgian government. He further commented that such statements "have a straw price" and do not hold any real significance.
Kaladze emphasized that the Georgian people are represented by the current government, stating that this might be a difficult reality for some critics abroad. He reiterated his stance that statements like Lührmann's "have a price of zero."
This came after Lührmann's statement supporting Georgia's accession to the EU but criticizing the current government for creating obstacles on that path.
