Anna Tsitlidze accuses high-ranking officials of running an "enforcement headquarters" aimed at suppressing opposition voters

Anna Tsitlidze, the chairwoman of the Zugdidi branch of the "Unity - National Movement" coalition, has accused high-ranking officials of running an "enforcement headquarters" aimed at suppressing opposition voters.

According to her, this operation, allegedly led by the head of the Samegrelo regional police, Giga Zesashvili, involves confiscating the identity cards of opposition-minded citizens in Senaki and Zugdidi to prevent them from voting in the upcoming elections.

During a briefing in Zugdidi, Tsitlidze named several individuals, including police officers and local government employees, who she claims are involved in this operation. In Senaki, these individuals include: Badri Goginava (regional police officer), Butkhuzi Siria (head of Nosiri police department), Kakha Chaava (head of Zani department), Bezhan Gunia, Monika Vasileva, Soso Matakheria, Dato Sajaia, and Tornike Djijeishvili (employees of Senaki City Hall and affiliated bodies).

In Zugdidi, the alleged organizers include: Dato Shengelia (commander of the "Forest Brothers"), Gia Kalichava (police officer), Gizo Vekua (activist for the "Georgian Dream"), Irakli Jikia (employee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs), and Lasha Vekua (patrol police officer).

Tsitlidze warned that her party has evidence of these actions and plans to hand it over to international organizations.

She urged the Ministry of Internal Affairs to take immediate action against these individuals, stating that her party, the "Unity - National Movement," expects to win both in Samegrelo and across Georgia in the upcoming elections on October 26.
