Dmitry Peskov: We see the attempts of Western countries to put pressure on the Georgian authorities and directly influence the election campaign - we do not interfere in Georgia's internal affairs

We do not interfere in the internal affairs of Georgia, - the press secretary of the Kremlin, Dmitry Peskov, said at the briefing.

"As for the elections, this is not our business. We see the undisguised attempts of Western countries to put pressure on the current government of Georgia and directly influence the course of the election campaign. "We do not interfere in Georgia's internal affairs and we do not intend to do so," Peskov said.

The press secretary of the Kremlin noted that the complications in bilateral relations do not prevent the development of ties between peoples.

"Georgia is our neighbor. You know all the complications in our bilateral relations, which, at the same time, do not prevent the development of humanitarian ties between the societies and peoples of the two countries. People continue to travel to Georgia and Russia," the press secretary of the Kremlin said.
